Information We Collect from Google APIs
When you authorize SheetBridge to access your Google account, we receive:
- Basic Profile Information: Your email address and profile picture URL from Google
- Authentication Tokens: OAuth 2.0 tokens to maintain your authenticated session
- Google Drive Access: Limited access to create and manage files in your Google Drive (drive.file scope)
User-Provided Information
- File Information: Basic metadata about the files you open and convert with SheetBridge, including file names and sizes (stored locally only)
- App Settings: Your preferences and settings within the App (stored locally only)
Automatically Collected Information
SheetBridge does not automatically collect usage data, analytics, or telemetry. The only information automatically processed includes:
- Error Logs: If the app encounters an error, logs are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted to us
- Authentication Status: Whether you are currently authenticated with your Google account (stored locally)
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authentication: Verify your identity through Google OAuth and maintain your session
- Core Functionality: Upload and convert your spreadsheet files to Google Sheets format

- File Management: Store recent file history locally to facilitate reopening files

Specific Use of Google User Data
Information obtained from Google APIs is used exclusively for:
- Authenticating your Google account within SheetBridge
- Creating new Google Sheets files in your Google Drive from uploaded spreadsheets
- Displaying your account information (email and profile picture) in the app interface
We do NOT:
- Store your Google data on our servers
- Share your Google data with third parties
- Use your Google data for advertising or marketing
- Access or read existing files in your Google Drive (we only create new files)

Data Storage, Retention and Transfer
Local Storage
All data SheetBridge processes is stored locally on your device:
- App Preferences: Stored locally using standard macOS UserDefaults
- Authentication Tokens: Securely stored in your device's keychain
- Temporary Files: Created temporarily during file conversion and automatically deleted after processing
- Recent Files List: Stored locally on your device to facilitate reopening files
- Google Profile Data: Your email and profile picture URL are cached locally
Data Retention
- Local Data: Retained until you uninstall the app or manually clear app data
- Authentication Tokens: Retained until you sign out or revoke access
- Temporary Files: Automatically deleted immediately after file conversion completes
- Google Drive Files: Files created in your Google Drive remain under your control and Google's retention policies
Data Transfer
- To Google Services: File data is transmitted directly from your device to Google Drive using secure HTTPS connections
- No Server Storage: SheetBridge does not operate any servers - all data remains on your device or in your Google account
- No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties

You have complete control over your data:
Access and Portability
- All your data is stored locally on your device or in your Google account
- You can access your Google Drive files directly through Google's services
- No need to request data from us as we don't store it on our servers
Deletion Rights
- Delete Local Data: Uninstall the app or use the app's clear data function to remove all local data
- Revoke Google Access: Revoke SheetBridge's access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Delete Google Drive Files: Remove files created by SheetBridge directly in Google Drive

- Sign Out: Use the sign-out option in the app to disconnect your Google account
- Clear App Data: Use macOS System Preferences to clear all SheetBridge data

Data Requests
Since we don't store your personal data on our servers, traditional data access or deletion requests don't apply. All your data is under your direct control.

Limited Use Disclosure: SheetBridge's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google's Limited Use Requirements. We only use Google user data to provide the core functionality of converting spreadsheets to Google Sheets and do not transfer this information to any other apps or services.
App Store Information
SheetBridge is distributed through the Apple App Store. Information collected by Apple is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides California residents with specific rights regarding their personal information. Since SheetBridge doesn't collect or store personal information on our servers, most CCPA provisions regarding the right to know about and delete personal information collected by businesses do not apply. Your personal information is stored locally on your device or in your Google account, not on our servers.
International Data Transfers
SheetBridge does not transfer your personal data internationally as we do not operate servers or store data outside of your device. Your data remains:
- Locally on your macOS device
- In your Google account (subject to Google's data location policies)
